Date Selector

(JavaScript 1.0/JScript 1.0 compatible)

The form is passed through a JavaScript function which will make sure that a valid date is entered. The year select menu will get the current year and display the next 10 years automatically (leap years are also taken into account). If the date is correct, then the JavaScript function returns true, which submits the form to the specified CGI script

You should use the dynamic date selector unless you require compatibility with Netscape 3.0 and IE 3.0)

To verify functionality, you may test dates such as the following:

April 31, 1998 (April has 30 days - error message)
May 31, 1998 (May has 31 days - form submitted)
February 29, 1999 (February has 28 days - error message)
February 29, 2000 (leapyear, February has 29 days - form submitted)
February 30, 2000 (leapyear, February has 29 days - error message)

Leap years are defined under the following criteria:

Any year divisible by 4, except those divisible by 100 (but NOT 400)
